The Telluride High School Athletic Department is excited to announce the hiring of Chelsea Christ as its Head Girls Basketball Coach. Chelsea has taught middle and high school physical education at Telluride since January 2023. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, she will now lead the girls basketball program, where she looks forward to helping student-athletes grow both on and off the court.

Before coming to Telluride, Chelsea coached women’s softball and basketball. Since joining the Telluride community, she has also coached middle school volleyball and middle school cross country. Chelsea began her collegiate career at Brevard College, where she competed in both softball and basketball, before transferring to Appalachian State University. There, she played rugby and earned her degree in physical education.

With a lifelong love of sports and basketball as her favorite sport, Chelsea is excited to take on this new role. She looks forward to building strong relationships with her student-athletes, fostering a positive team culture, and helping players develop their skills, confidence, and love for the game.
