Carlo Pine, Simon Lovely, Weston Smith and Chase Green will be representing Telluride High School at Regionals on Monday at Devil's Thumb. My goal all season has been to take a team to the State Tournament and we have a legitimate shot of accomplishing that goal on Monday. Please congratulate these four and wish them luck on Monday. Go Miners!

We will not be playing in the tournament in Durango 9/12 (Tuesday). We will still play Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Please remember to wear your polo to practice today. Thanks.

Both of our tournaments this week will be in Montrose...Wednesday at The Bridges and Thursday at Black Canyon. Rosters have already been set for both days. As I wrote last week, the start time for both tournaments has been set to 9am. We will leave at 6:15 both days to ensure we have enough time to grab breakfast in Montrose and get in a good warm up. Parents, this is a great opportunity to watch your kids compete! I hope to see some of you out there.

We played tournaments in Grand Junction this week. Bookcliff on Monday and Tiara Rado on Tuesday. Weston led the way on Monday shooting a 99, followed closely by Levi with a 101 and Thomas with a 106, and Chase Green rounding out our team. Tuesday was a great performance for all involved. Again, Weston Smith led the way, this time shooting a 94, along with Simon Lovely. Chase has made some huge gains in the past couple of weeks and shot a 101 on Tuesday! Aidan also played on Tuesday, completing our team effort. This week we will have not have practice on Friday, and remember that next week there is no school on Monday so we will not have practice then either. Next week we will be playing down in Montrose. Bridges on Wednesday and Black Canyon on Thursday...both start times have been changed to 9am.

Simon, Weston, Aidan, Chase and Jasmine will be traveling tomorrow. We will be leaving at 6am from the HS. It's about a 5 hour drive and the Yampa Valley tournament is at 1pm so we will have plenty of time to drive up, with a stop for lunch. The Haymaker tournament is at 8am the next morning...I predict we'll be home around 10pm Thursday night. We are staying at The Steamboat Hotel. Hey everyone. I hate to cancel practice but radar is showing heavy rain starting at 4:15 right over Telluride. I will send out details shortly regarding tournaments Wednesday and Thursday.

Today's practice will be a 6 hole stroke play tryout for our tournaments Wednesday and Thursday in Steamboat. Any athlete that has attended 5 practices will have the opportunity to play today. We will bring the lowest 5 scores to the tournaments this week.
