Week 8 Update!
Updated on 06/10/2022
Only two more updates before our season is over !
Last week the kids raced in Delta at Swietzer Lake and they fought hard despite the hot weather ! Each race the kids keep improving and moving up which is really exciting to see! Austin and Sean were top finishes for each gender and posted top 10 results ! Click on the link to see pictures of most of the kids. Delta Pictures Here
We have our last race of the season this Friday again in Delta, but at Confluence..... more details to follow. Unfortunately, I will not be able to make this race as I had a previous engagement before I took the coaching job. Ms. Jenna will take the kids and will host practice on Wednesday. This week I am assuming that all athletes will be racing. Please send me an email if your child will not be able to make it!
Important News/Dates
This Thursday's (Oct 3rd) practice will be short - 30 minutes or so. I want to make sure the kids are very rested for the race.
We will have our last practice next week Monday Oct 7th, we will do our Ice Cream run! Please have your child bring some money for ice cream. I am currently trying to find a place that will give us a discounted rate.
As always if you have any comments, questions and/or concerns please send me an email!
Update to Week 7 & Race Info
Updated on 06/10/2022
Hi Folks,
Some information for this week.
Thursday: due to not having school for 7 & 8, we will not have team practice. I suggest that athletes run easy or do some activity for 30 minutes on their own. This will work well with the start of our tapper!
Friday: MS will be leaving at a later time then the high school team for the Delta meet.
MS will be leaving at 8am from school.
- If students typically take the bus to school that is fine, we will wait for all buses to arrive before we depart.
- If your child gets dropped off by you, then please have them dropped off by 8am
Location: Sweitzer lake delta colorado
MS girls race at 11:30am
MS boys race at noon
**We will do the normal Placerville stop leaving town and returning. Morning pick up will be at 8:20. Athletes will call parents for a return time.
Remember - Uniforms, water, food, sun protection.
Thanks !
Week 7 Update !
Updated on 06/10/2022
Welcome to week 7 of the season!
Training has been going very well the past week. We have done a few runs this past week, which have been a repeat of those in the past. All the athletes are making a lot of improvements and are running farther and faster !
We raced in Ridgeway this past week and both teams showed strength. The boys team placed 4th overall and although we don't have enough girls to field an "official team" they placed well!
Upcoming week
We will continue to train hard this week. We will race in Delta on Friday, with the girls racing at 1130 and the boys at noon. Leave time TBD, but latest would be 830am. Please look for further information during the week. Please complete the registration survey by Sunday night https://forms.gle/5M9aycUaPJ5tenQG7
Wednesday Team Dinner!: This Wednesday, Sept 25th we will have a team dinner at High Pie. We will practice until 445 and then as a team walk over to High Pie. Please have your child bring $15 to contribute for pizza. We should be done around 615 and athlete pick up will be at high pie.
As always please let me know if there are any comments, questions and/or concerns!
Week 6 Update!
Updated on 06/10/2022
We had an amazing time at the Gunnison invitation yesterday with both teams leaving everything they had out on course! The boys race had 155 runners in it while our girls race had 127. Invitations like this are great because we get to race against some of the fastest kids in the state. Tellurides top male finisher was Sean M. in 13th while Austin C was our girls top finisher in 8th place! Well done to the entire team!

See the race announcement for specifics!
